Teach them everything you know, expose them to things they don’t know and keep their curiosity engaged 🩺 Focus and Self-Control. Children need this skill to achieve goals, especially in a world filled with distractions and information overload. ... I don’t know what path he’ll choose but as his mom I will do my best to expose him to all things that interest him and things he doesn’t even know he’s interested in yet🙌🏼 #momfirst #doctor #medical #boymom #dermatology #dermatologist #surgery #takeyoursontoworkday #firstborn #PhD #MD #skinandstyle
Road Trips With This Kid... Last summer we were in a position where everyone in our household of a blended family was in crisis, nothing was OK. Although he was in trouble, and I was the most fearful for his future than I have ever been. All I could do was pack the two of us up and get on the road. Looking back in was the most beautiful time. Mama’s.. I only have this summer and next left. Then he’s on his own! I thought I was having a selfish travel bug in the middle of this pandemic and kept pushing it aside for the greater good, but I realize it’s more of a panic. I gotta get him beside me, where we can talk. I gotta watch him fall asleep. Mouth open, little body twitching, completely secure sleep. I need to show him how beautiful this world is, and that his opportunities are limitless I need to remind him, no matter what. I’ve always have his back We have to get on the road 🤞 🤞 🤞 #roadtrip #summerof2020 #travelbug #boymom #holdontight #fastcar #sidekick #tennagersarethebest #youaremysunshine #letmeholdyou #wegotmilesonus

Every day our sweet village amazes us more and more and it’s because of WHO, not what or why. Today we want to share a little extra lovin’ on Tabitha, one of our FIT4MOM Pearland instructors. Tabitha is a mother to Connor and Camden, wife to Ryan, and loves running and playing outside with her boys. Oh and she’s a 4th grade teacher too! She’s been instructing FIT4MOM classes for about a year and we are so grateful she is part of our family. We love you, Tabitha! “I love teaching FIT4MOM because it gives me a chance to support and empower our amazing village of mamas to discover their best selves. Being a part of this village in itself is amazing, but instructing makes it even more amazing.” -Tabitha
Take 2 on rowing. Thursday we didn't row due to some mischief that occurred at the boathouse during the week. 🤦♀️ Today was beautiful. It was 60. The water was flat. I had good company. Upped our total distance to just over 4k in each direction for a total of about 9k for the day. Trying to up my distance to get ready for the virtual Head of The Charles in October. Decided to do a practice head piece to see how it went. I just did 4k straight. Needed to relax. It helped every time to just relax. It was a good first start. Oh and I am pretty excited about that picture I took. Looks so cool.
I would love to meet the mother of this Young King and give her a big hug! Thirteen years old and he learned a skillset that will pay him for the rest of his life! His future kids, grandkids, great grandkids are set before they even come into this world. This is an example of TRUE generational wealth! ... Learning something new is very uncomfortable, but even if you don’t understand the information, you never know who in your surroundings will. It may just click for them and bless your whole household! ... As parents we need to remove these damn video games, devices, YouTube’s, and set our kids up for SUCCESS and stop setting them up for FAILURE!
